With its innovative designs and focus on value, Tracker Boats has developed a loyal following among serious anglers. While the company initially gained popularity with its aluminum bass boat designs, it has also come to dominate a large portion of the V-hull multi-species fishing boat market on the strength of versatile models like the Tracker Pro Guide V-175 SC.

In spite of its overall length of just under 17 feet, the Tracker Pro Guide V-175 SC is a big boat made for big water and big fish, and with an outboard capacity of 115 horsepower it can get anglers into the fish and out of the weather in a hurry. The side-console design leaves plenty of room in the deep cockpit for 360-degree fishing, while its 35-degree bow deadrise and a welded-in, full-length stringer system are designed to deliver a smooth and solid ride in all conditions.

The Pro Guide follows a proven layout, with raised bow and stern casting decks and a deep central cockpit for optimal versatility.

This all-welded boat follows a proven multi-species layout with a raised bow casting deck, deep central cockpit and a second raised casting deck in the stern. There are three movable, folding fishing seats with seven seat base locations scattered throughout the boat, allowing a variety of seating configurations to suit casting, trolling, drifting or still fishing. It also comes with Tracker’s exclusive Versatrack accessory-mounting channel in gunnels, which allows owners to mount a variety of accessories wherever they’re needed and without having to drill a single hole anywhere in the boat.

A large in-deck storage locker in the bow accommodates rods to eight feet in length.

The raised bow features a carpeted surface for a secure grip, even in wet conditions. Up front there’s a raised pad for the standard Minn Kota PowerDrive 12-volt, 55-pound thrust foot-control electric trolling motor that’s through-bolted for added strength. There’s even a thoughtful cup holder up on the electric motor pad, and an adjacent panel with the trolling motor receptacle, a 12-volt accessory outlet and a trim/tilt switch for the outboard. There’s even a thoughtful storage well for the electric motor foot control, to protect it from damage when not in use. Nice!

The bow even features an in-floor storage compartment for the electric motor’s foot control pedal.

Deck hatches on the Tracker Pro Guide V-175 SC are formed from aluminum for strength. Lift the lids and you’ll find a 19-gallon aerated, recirculating live well with a bait bucket and pump-out system right up in the bow, plus a large molded bow storage compartment with a raised lip for drier storage. To the center, a large lockable rod box with designated organizer tubes safely secures fishing rods to eight feet in length.

In-floor bulk storage in the main cockpit accommodates bulky gear.

Step down into the main cockpit and you’ll notice a large in-floor storage locker that’s the ideal spot for stowing bulky gear like PFDs, keeping them convenient yet safely out of harm’s way. The cockpit floor is a durable marine vinyl, and that’s a sensible choice for a portion of the boat that will see such heavy wear. Along each gunnel you’ll find deep top-loading lockable boxes that also accept rods to eight feet in length, along with convenient rod hold-down straps on the tops for use when running from spot to spot.

A courtesy light on the console provides added security when fishing or moving about the boat in low light conditions.

The fiberglass-reinforced roto-molded console has a tinted windscreen and a built-in drink holder. On the helm console the instruments – a speedometer, tachometer, voltmeter, fuel gauge, water pressure and trim gauge – are illuminated and recessed for easy visibility and reduced glare in any lighting. The soft-touch sport steering wheel is a nice touch, as is the standard Lowrance HOOK-4x color fish finder with CHIRP sonar. There’s even a fire extinguisher and a useful courtesy light for added safety in low light conditiions.

A 29-gallon aerated, recirculating live well in the stern casting deck comes complete with its own removable bait bucket.

The raised casting deck in the stern is compact, but roomy enough for one angler to fish in comfort. Its carpeted surface provides extra assurance when casting, while a large hatch to the port side reveals its massive 29-gallon aerated, recirculating live well, complete with its own removable bait bucket.

The Tracker Pro Guide V-175 SC will reach top speeds in the range of 45 mph with a 115-horsepower engine.

The standard power on the Tracker Pro Guide V-175 SC is a Mercury 90-horsepower, four-stroke engine, and this makes a nice package, offering a great balance of cost, fuel efficiency and a top-end speed in the range of 37 mph. For those who want the maximum performance this hull can deliver, stepping up to a 115 horsepower Merc takes top-end speed to the 45 mph range.

The Tracker Pro Guide V-175 SC is a nicely designed multi-species fishing boat that’s well equipped, well priced, and great value. Little wonder the company has earned such a loyal following among anglers who know a good deal when they see one.
