Sooner or later every boater reaches a point where they take the plunge – that’s it, no more fooling around, no more compromises. When that person happens to also enjoy offshore fishing, then there’s a pretty good chance their next boat will be a Sailfish. For more than 30 years the Florida-based boat builder has enjoyed a growing reputation for building top-quality offshore fishing boats that over-deliver on just about everything. That includes a pure focus on serious fishing, as evidenced by these boats being stuffed with every possible amenity and feature a hard-core angler could ever want. We’re talking built-in bait wells, huge, insulated fish boxes, loads of flush-mount stainless steel rod holders, tool storage, tackle storage, loads of space for electronics and room for a boatload of gear. Perhaps no model in the lineup sets that tone of no compromise like the all-new Sailfish 360 CC.

With its brilliant design, the Sailfish 360 CC is a versatile and capable offshore center console that serious anglers will love.

Step onboard and that awesome attention to detail becomes immediately apparent. The easiest way to step aboard from the dock is through the port-side entry door, which leads into the aft cabin. There’s a four-step stainless steel boarding ladder concealed under a hatch in the floor and a large, D-shaped grab ring on the gunnel face, so should you decide to stop somewhere for a quick dip to cool off, you’ll be able to easily climb back onboard. There’s a second ladder on the starboard end of the swim platform as well, with a convenient transom walk-through.

The first thing you notice is just how spacious the boat is, and that’s partly due to its generous 11-foot beam, and partly due to the depth of the side gunnels, which provide a real sense of security when you’re out on the big water.

The transom seat provides a comfortable ride out to the fishing spots, then folds neatly out of the way once you arrive.

The main cockpit of the Sailfish 360 CC features a forward-facing seat on the inside of the transom, and an inboard-facing seat on the starboard aft corner, both of which flip up when they’re no longer needed to stow neatly out of sight. This is a great feature, providing comfortable seating on the way to the fishing spots, without getting in the way once you arrive.

The transom itself includes no less than five flush-mount stainless steel rod holders, along with a top-loading bait well on the port-side end. Another dozen flush rod holders surround the cockpit, with six spread up each side of the boat. The wide gunnels belay the presence of large storage spaces within, including multiple rod storage racks.

The port side of the transom includes an integrated, aerated bait well. Note the adjacent flush-mount rod holder, flush-folding cleat, and handy fender holder.

Look down, and the aft cockpit floor conceals a pair of big 260-quart insulated fish boxes to take care of the catch of the day.

Facing the stern, the rear side of the standard central seating pod provides raised, three-across mezzanine seating for passengers, with a live well and space for an 80-quart carry-on cooler beneath. But look closely and you’ll see there’s more to this seat than first meets the eye. Beyond the flip-down arm rests for greater comfort, this position also provides stainless drink holders, a refrigerator, and a middle seat back that tilts down to reveal two drink holders in its rear face, along with a cockpit-facing fish finder screen so the anglers in the back can keep tabs with what’s going on under the boat. Still more rod holders on the powder-coated frame supporting the standard fiberglass hard top keep spare sticks within easy reach.

That hard top has a few tricks of its own, including a sunroof and a power sun shade that extends aft at the push of a button to protect the entire cockpit. Sweet.

Rear-facing mezzanine seating conceals a big removable cooler and a few other goodies — fold down the middle seat back and there’s a hidden fish finder screen so anglers in the cockpit can keep tabs on what’s going on below.

The central console itself is neatly designed, being trim enough to allow easy passage forward and aft along each side of the boat, yet substantial enough to offer three-across seating at the helm and a huge head compartment within. When we say huge, we mean a full stand-up head complete with a shower, solid-surface counters, a stainless sink and an opening porthole. There’s no bumping elbows in this boat.

Overhead the Sailfish 360 CC comes with a standard fiberglass hard top. Press a button and it extends with a power sun shade that covers the entire aft cockpit.

The helm of the Sailfish 360 CC is wide-open, creating the ideal environment for installing the buyer’s choice of flush-mount, touch-screen, multi-function displays. There’s room to mount three 12-inch screens side-by-side, providing plenty of options there. Below the dash panel and surrounding the tilt steering wheel are the engine binnacles, the stereo control head, room for a joystick, more stainless steel drink holders, and multiple illuminated toggles to control electric features such as lights, live well pumps and more.

Facing the all-glass helm are three forward-facing seats, with the central position power-adjustable to keep the driver fresh. Those who prefer to drive on their feet will find the station is height-adjustable, for even greater comfort. All of the seats on the Sailfish 360 CC reveal exceptional upholstery work, with tight, even stitching and soft but durable vinyl skins.

The big helm console provides plenty of space to mount the owner’s choice of flush-mounted touch-screen displays.

Sailfish is known for its careful attention to even the smallest details, such as in providing niceties like a console tackle organizer and a safety glass windshield with both wiper and washer. There’s also a vent for fresh air on warm days.

Wanting to focus on fishing doesn’t mean giving up any creature comforts. The huge double-wide console-face lounger, with its fold-down arm rests, is a great spot to enjoy the ride out to the big water. There are also twin loungers in the forward bow, each with a forward-facing back rest and large storage compartments in the seat bases. A power-actuated table located between these seats can be raised on demand to create the ultimate lunch spot with a view.

The twin bow lounge seats conceal large storage compartments in their bases. Between them is a power table top, which can be raised for lunch stops.

Rated to handle up to 1,050 horsepower at the transom, the Sailfish 360 CC will most often come rigged with triple 300 outboards – a setup that provides a near-ideal balance of power, weight and cost. With triple Yamaha F300s, the 360 CC planes in a hair over three seconds according to the company, and achieves a top speed in the range of 55 mph while delivering above-average fuel economy.

If you like to fish on big water, then it would be hard to go wrong with the new Sailfish 360 CC. It’s big, it’s fast, it’s comfortable and it’s built for serious enjoyment – what more could anyone ask?
