Production to resume by mid-April
White River Marine Group, manufacturer of the Tracker, Ranger, Nitro, Mako, Triton, Sun Tracker, Regency and Tahoe boat brands, has announced the company will re-open a former Tracker boat plant in Bolivar, Missouri that it shut down 10 years ago at the height of the economic downturn.
The company says it plans to re-start the Bolivar facility by mid-April, creating approximately 130 jobs. The new plant’s initial focus will be on creating components used in the company’s Sun Tracker, Reata by Ranger and Regency pontoon boats. In its heyday, the Bolivar plant employed 350 people.
White River Marine currently has other production facilities in Missouri, including Clinton, Lebanon and Ozark, as well as facilities in Flippin and Midway, Arkansas, and Miami, Oklahoma. It sells its multiple boat brands through a network of independent boat retailers as well as through its associated Bass Pro Shops retail chain.
