Knoxville, Tennessee-based Sea Ray Boats has unveiled a new 40-foot model in its popular Sundancer line of cruisers.
Featuring what the company describes as “a fresh and exciting design both inside and out for daytime socializing and relaxed overnighting,” the boat will make its public debut next month at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Featuring an open floor plan designed with entertaining in mind, the new 400 Sundancer offers an airy salon with large windows and a power-actuated sunroof. Plush seating includes an L-shaped lounge which accommodates up to eight people, while a triple-pane entry door and retractable overhead cockpit shade extend the entertainment space outdoors. An optional shade system protecting the multi-position sun-pads in the bow allows for all-day comfort while an optional hydraulically-operated rear swim platform features innovative, self-deployed boarding steps.
“The new 400 Sundancer is all about comfortable socializing and relaxing, day and night,” said Sea Ray Group President Tim Schiek. “The focal point of the design is an expansive, single-level living space on the main deck. This layout includes a convenient galley up, making it perfect for entertaining, while huge windows fill the space with an abundance of natural light. Yet the interior design also encourages warm and inviting nighttime gatherings. It’s truly a boat you can enjoy every hour of the day.”
The base price of the 400 Sundancer is $637,951. It will be formally unveiled at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, held at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, the Hall of Fame Marina, Las Olas Marina and the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center from November 5 to 9, 2016.
