New look, tech for mid-line outboards
Honda Marine has unveiled refreshed and updated version of its popular BF75, BF90 and BF100 mid-range outboards.
The engines each sport Honda’s new “Crouching Form” design aesthetic first released on the Honda Marine BF4, BF5 and BF6 models in 2016, along with new rigging components including a new digital multi-function display, and a new tiller handle with a large shift lever, power tilt and rim, and trolling control.
Other key features include Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC), programmed fuel injection, Honda’s Boosted Low Speed Torque (BLAST) System for improved holeshot and acceleration, and lean burn control to maximize power throughout the acceleration range
The new engines are available with a 20-inch shaft, while the BF90 and BF100 models also offer a longer shaft length of 25 inches. The BF75 and BF100 are available now, with the BF90 to be available later this year.
