Edgewater, Florida-based Edgewater Boats has expanded its dual console line with an all-new 24-foot model.
The new 248CX fills a gap in the company’s dual console lineup between the 20-foot 205CX and the 28-foot 280CX. With an overall length of 24’ 6” and a beam of 8’6”, the 3,550-pound 248CX will typically come rigged with a single Yamaha F300 outboard. That should deliver a 3.6-second time to plane and a top speed of just under 50 mph. Maximum power is 350 horsepower.
The interior design is intended to provide maximum versatility for families with multiple interests on the water, including tubing, wakeboarding, fishing and cruising. Standard features include a 120-gallon fuel tank, a self-bailing cockpit with non-skid decks, a recessed telescoping transom ladder, powder coated aluminum bow grab rails, a fiberglass hardtop with LED lighting, a walk-in head in the port console, an electric anchor windlass, raw water wash-down, a starboard side prep station with fresh water sink and a 50-quart premium cooler, in-floor ski storage and a 28-gallon transom bait well.
