Misty Harbor Biscayne Bay 2285 CE Review

The Misty Harbor Biscayne Bay 2285 CE is perfect for anyone who wants to entertain the whole gang in style and luxury. And entertaining the whole gang is what this boat is all about, as evidenced by its unique elevated bar area complete with full LED lighting and four custom-designed, stainless steel bar stools. You’ll also find a wine rack, bottle opener, purse holder and a built-in USB charging station in the bar area, making it the true focal point of the boat.

The mid-ship’s entertainment bar with its four stainless steel barstools is the obvious focal point of this boat. Expect your crew to gather here as they would naturally gravitate to the kitchen in a house.

While the mid-ship’s bar instantly commands your attention, there’s a ton of comfortable seating throughout. Up front, twin front loungers surround a removable, pedestal-mount table, creating a comfy spot to stretch out and catch the sun or just relax with friends. In the stern, a wrap-around, forward-facing lounge seat offers an inviting option to the bar stools. The overall feel is as if you’ve stepped into someone’s house, minus the walls and roof. In all, there’s seating for 12 people, which is pretty impressive for a 23-foot boat.

The 2285 CE boasts truly comfortable seating and nice upholstery work throughout.

Standard features on this boat include courtesy lights, stainless steel beverage holders throughout, the Biscayne Bay console upgrade with instrument pack, a 10-foot Bimini top and a Kicker KMC1 puck stereo with four mushroom speakers. You’ll also find a handsome chrome-accent steering wheel with tilt function, hammered four-step rear boarding ladder, Dowco trailerable cover,  and playpen cover with rail clip mounting system among the standard goodies.

But what would any boat be without an extensive option list, and here, Misty Harbor doesn’t disappoint. Add the available Pro Series ski tow bar and the bow entertainment center to personalize this boat and make an even greater statement. Or opt for the available Tripletoon Performance Package, which gives you a third center pontoon and a 58-gallon fuel tank – plus the ability to handle engines of up to 250 horsepower.

Also newly available for 2017 is Misty Harbor’s Black-Out Edition package, which includes black hammered rub rails, skirting, and trim accents for an understated, conservative yet aggressive look.

With its fold-down arm rests, the helm seat is nicely proportioned and quite comfortable. A flip-up bolster would have been a nice bonus, though.

All in all, Misty Harbor’s Biscayne Bay 2285 CE is a comfortable and well designed pontoon that will be sure to prove popular with cottage owners everywhere.
