Crestliner’s Fish Hawk series has long been among the best-selling aluminum multi-species fishing boats in North America, due in part to its exceptional versatility and in part to its incredible value. Perhaps the best-selling model in the entire line is the Crestliner 1750 Fish Hawk, and it’s easy to see why.

The 1750 Fish Hawk features a large carpeted bow casting deck with plenty of storage space below.

Up front, the raised bow casting deck is over-sized allowing multiple anglers to fish side-by-side in comfort without constantly knocking elbows. Concealed under the big carpeted deck are storage compartments for bulky gear like tackle, PFDs and rain gear, along with a 12-gallon aerated live well. The Fish Hawk’s center rod storage holds up to five rods to seven feet, six inches in length, plus another five rods to seven feet in length. Surrounding the bow deck – and the entire boat – is Crestliner’s SureMount accessory mounting system that lets you easily add drink holder, rod holders and other accessories wherever they’re needed, and without drilling any holes in the boat.

A centerline rod locker in the front deck accommodates 10 rods in individual tubes.

The Crestliner 1750 Fish Hawk gets a number of upgrades for 2020 starting with an all-new premium console that fits multi-function displays with up to 12-inch screens. Illuminated toggle switches, two drink holders and a 12-volt power outlet bring greater convenience out on the water, and there’s still space for a stereo control head if desired.

Available as a side console, dual console or full windshield model, the 1750 Fish Hawk offers tremendous versatility.

The standard configuration for the Crestliner 1750 Fish Hawk is as a side console model, leaving the passenger side of the boat open for greater interior space. A passenger console can be added if desired, and that’s an upgrade that will be appreciated by anglers who live in more northerly climes, and who will appreciate the added occupant protection when fishing early or late in the season. With the second console, owners can then choose from traditional “double bubble” individual console wind screens, or a full walk-through windshield for the ultimate in occupant protection.

A port-side rod locker in the main cockpit accommodates rods to eight feet in length.

The main cockpit is deep, giving passengers a solid feeling of security when running in rough water. Along the port-side gunnel, a lockable rod locker accommodates several rods of up to eight feet in length. At the stern, a second raised casting deck provides additional flexibility. Open the lids in its deck and you’ll find a large battery storage compartment and, to port, a deep 15-gallon aerated live well that’s controlled by a timer.

New on the Crestliner 1750 Fish Hawk is an option to add stern jump seats in the corners for added comfort and extra seating capacity. This makes the 1750 Fish Hawk a truly versatile performer that’s equally at home taking the family for fun rides or competing in the weekend tournament. Or, opt for the available conversion stern bench for even greater comfort yet.

Options like the Platinum Edition package, with its fold-down cleats, add ever great capability and convenience.

The 1750 Fish Hawk comes ready to fish with a long list of standard features, but additional options worth consideration include a stern boarding platform with a retractable ladder, an easy access fish ruler that stows in the center rod locker, and a Platinum Edition package that includes niceties like a stainless steel steering wheel and flip-up stainless cleats.

The all-new helm console now accommodates multifuction displays with 12-inch screens.

Rated to accommodate outboards of up to 150 horsepower, the Crestliner 1750 Fish Hawk is a bit unique in being both fast and fuel efficient. With a Mercury 150 Pro XS on the transom, our review boat clocked 49 mph at wide-open throttle and 5,900 rpm, while still getting an eye-opening 3.7 mpg. Pull back to a more pedestrian 3,000 rpm and you’re still churning along at over 20 mph while getting 6.1 mpg – excellent mileage for any boat.

Anglers looking for a great all-round aluminum multi-species boat that can also do just as well taking the family for afternoon ice cream runs will find a lot to like in the Crestliner 1750 Fish Hawk. It’s a well-designed, nicely made boat that does many things very, very well.
