20/20 Vision was the theme of the 2016 model year roll-out for Four Winns, Glastron, Scarab and Wellcraft Boats manufacturer Rec Boat Holdings. The Cadillac, Michigan-based company showed a number of new models during its annual new product presentation to dealers, recently held in Sarasota, Florida. Representatives from about 175 dealerships worldwide attended the event.
Several new models were announced for the company’s Four Winns brand, led by a new watersports-oriented TS242 model which uses Volvo Penta’s innovative Forward Drive system. With its StableVee wake/surf hull, custom wakeboard tower with integral racks and rear-facing speakers, and internal ballast system, the TS242 promises to make the most of Volvo’s new watersport-friendly drives.
Four Winns also showed a new HD 270 deck boat, with an enclosed head and a choice of outboard or stern drive power, along with a new 25-foot trailerable pocket cruiser called the Vista 255.
The company’s Glastron brand will largely carry-over for 2016, with the addition of a new outboard-powered GT 240. Based on the GT 245, the new boat accepts outboards up to 300 hp.
Scarab dealers were not left out of the new product parade, with a new Wake Edition versions of the company’s Scarab 215 and 255 models. The company also announced nine new Wellcraft models, including its 221 and 224 Fisherman bay boats and a new 242 Fisherman center console.
The majority of the new models will make their public debut at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, held at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, the Hall of Fame Marina, Las Olas Marina and the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center from November 5 to 9, 2016.
