Beneteau has unveiled an all-new outboard-powered offshore fishing boat designed to appeal directly to big-water anglers in both fresh and saltwater.

Stretching 26 feet, 4 inches in overall length, the all-new Barracuda 8 rides on a 9-foot, 1-inch beam that features Beneteau’s innovative AirStep 2 hull design for improved acceleration and high-speed handling. Rated to handle twin outboards to a maximum of 300 horsepower, it comes with a standard 75-gallon fuel tank which can be upgraded to 100 gallons for enhanced range and all-day fishability.

Barracuda 9 Profile

The full walk-around design and open transom make the Barracuda 8 appealing for offshore anglers.

The full walk-around design, big-water capability and open transom make the Barracuda 8 an appealing design for salmon, lake trout, walleye and offshore saltwater anglers. Standard features include a fish box, live well, transom work top for butting bait, folding cockpit seats, and full pilothouse with rear and optional side entry. No less than three different interior configurations are available, allowing a level of semi-customization to the owner’s specifications.

The Barracuda 8 is said to nicely fill a void in the current Barracuda fishing boat lineup, between the 29-foot Barracuda 9 and the compact Barracuda 7. A second raised helm station at the rear of the pilothouse is available as an option, along with a bow thruster.
