Marine audio products manufacturer Aquatic AV has been drawing large crowds at its booth at the International Boatbuilders’ Conference and Expo (IBEX), with two new marine stereo systems for the 2016 season.

The company’s new MP-5 Series has been designed to work seamlessly with modern media devices, including larger sized devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Note and iPhone 6 using a next-generation A2DP/IAP Bluetooth connection (or, by direct connection via a USB, 3.5mm stereo jack socket or stereo RCA inputs). Device charging is available when connected via USB.

Traditional AM/FM radio is also provided with a 30 station pre-set memory, and a switchable US/Euro tuner. The onboard 288-watt amp drives up to eight speakers, or can be connected to an external amp to power even larger systems.

Also new for 2016 is the new BlueCube+ Hide-Away Media Player AQ-BC-5UBT, which now includes a remote control and a bunch of new features. Designed to be installed out-of-sight, the new BlueCube+ features a USB connection for playback and charging, FM radio and a 12-volt external device trigger. A2DP Bluetooth allows wireless audio streaming and two-way communication between Apple and Android devices.

Aquatic AV’s new MP5 series stereos connect to a variety of handheld devices using next-generation A2DP/IAP Bluetooth.
