Orlando, Florida-based towboat manufacturer Correct Craft has acquired a majority interest in the Centurion Boats and Supreme Boats brands.

The manufacturer of Nautique and Ski Nautique tow boats, Correct Craft President and CEO Bill Yeargin noted that both Centurion and Supreme have long and proud histories in the towed watersports segment, making them natural additions to the Correct Craft family.

“The past few months as we have worked together to finalize this deal our mutual respect has grown and we are excited about the things we will accomplish as a team” said Yeargin. “Our Correct Craft family has grown significantly over the past few years and we are pleased to add two new brands in the towboat segment; we plan to immediately begin working to grow both Centurion and Supreme in the global marketplace.”

Centurion has been the official boat of the World Wake Surfing Championships since it began in 1995. It acquired Supreme Boats in 2011.

Centurion and Supreme will continue to be produced at their existing plants in Merced, California, said Yeargin. Correct Craft also noted it has no plans to tinker with the company’s management.

This has been a busy year for Correct Craft, which also recently announced an $8 million expansion of its world headquarters and manufacturing facility, to be completed by January, 2016.
