Pontoon boats have come a long way over the years, evolving from early models that were little more than motorized rafts with patio furniture on them to the sleek, powerful and downright luxurious models we see today.

But when it comes to pontoon boats the pull out all the stops, it’s hard to beat the 310 Boundary Waters from Premier Pontoons. Yes, it’s big, and yes, it’s powerful. But there’s more here than meets the eye, and that’s saying something because this pontoon boat truly is an eyeful no matter how you look at it. Let’s take a closer look.

It’s hard to not be awestruck by Premier’s 310 Boundary Waters – a twin engine, twin-deck pontoon built with an eye to all-out luxury.

Stretching a whopping 31 feet, 4 inches in length and riding on an oversized 10-foot, 2-inch beam, the 310 Boundary Waters is definitely a big boat – as evidenced by its seating capacity of 25 – yes, you read that right – 25 people in all. Weighing in at a hefty 5,600 pounds empty, this big pontoon is rated to handle up to 600 horsepower, which is a lot of ponies for a boat that runs around on welded aluminum tubes. And run is just the right word, because with twin 300s this bad boy will plane in the blink of an eye and top out at over 50 mph.

Bow lounge seats boast a neat diamond stitching pattern that gives the interior a classy look.

As you might expect there’s a ton of engineering in the 310 Boundary Waters that goes beyond its tri-tube hull and twin engine platform. Step aboard and the environment at once feels familiar, while arousing “what’s that?” curiosity. Enter through the wide bow or port-side entry gates – wide enough for a stroller or wheelchair – and the bow with its twin wrap-around lounge seats immediately invite you to settle in and get comfortable. Look closely and you’ll spot the beautiful diamond stitch pattern in the buttery-soft upholstery, the drop-down arm rests, and the recessed drink holders nestled in the gunnels. But you’ll have to look closer to note the drink holders are illuminated, or spot the USB charging ports scattered throughout the boat. There are 16 in all, so there’s no fighting for charging ports on this boat.

Seat bases accommodate stereo speakers and little black pockets that house wireless charging pads for cell phones.

Premier offers a filler cushion that fits in front of the bow door, converting the twin lounges to a single continuous wrap-around seat. In the floor there’s a ski locker that stows bulky gear with ease, and if you look really closely, you’ll spot the little tab that opens the starboard side lounge seat back to expose the trash bin.

The helm accommodates a 12-inch multi-function display, while a keypad that surrounds the steering wheel allows full control without having to lift a finger.

The 310 Boundary Waters comes with a pop-out change room in the aft end of the port-side lounge, which can be equipped with a Porta-potti if desired.

The elevated helm console itself includes handy storage compartments in its base.

The seat bases accommodate speakers and the subwoofer for the JL Audio stereo, along with small black pockets that contain wireless charging pads for cell phones. Introduced in 2021, the pockets were such a big hit there are now 10 of them scattered throughout the boat.

Aft of the helm is an L-shaped wet bar with a pair of swiveling pedestal seats.

The helm console features a glass dash able to accommodate a flush-mounted 12-inch display, while the elegant sport steering wheel features a button pad to control the screen without taking your hands off the wheel, along with controls for the stereo. The pad stays still as you turn the wheel, which is a nice touch. There’s also a refrigerated drink holder for the captain. The helm seat swivels, allowing it to be turned when the boat’s at rest and serve as further interior seating.

Twin port-side buckets facing the helm share a neat fiberglass console with a built-in cooler, drink holders, a speaker and more cell phone charging pads.

Facing the captain’s chair are a pair of similar high-back bucket seats with fold-down arm rests, which share a neat fiberglass console with an integral cooler and more cell phone charge pads. Between these seats and the helm, a space on the floor accommodates an optional Yeti cooler that raises up out of the floor on an electric lift when needed. Aft of the helm and along the starboard side of the boat, a wet bar takes care of snacks on the water.

Access to the second deck is via a starboard-side ladder.

The aft section of the boat is dominated by Premier’s Revolution lounge seat – a unique, U-shaped lounger that’s mounted on a turntable. Stepping on a foot pad to release it allows the seat to be rotated in whatever direction one likes – facing in, out, forward or back. The revolving seat is indeed revolutionary, and a great addition to a fun layout. It’s also a great spot from which you can watch people come down the slide from the upper deck.

The second level sun pad is a great spot to hang out in comfort and work on that summer tan – all while enjoying unobstructed 360 degree panoramic views

Oh – did we not mention it has a second deck? Indeed it does, which is accessed with a wide ladder on the starboard side of the boat. Up top, the stern section is kept open to provide unhindered access to the twisting water slide, which is kept slippery by an electric pump that feeds raw water down the slide for maximum fun.

The sun pad can also be set up as back-to-back seating, simultaneously facing both forward and aft.

Ahead of the slide, the upper level also offers a double-wide sun pad with adjustable cushions, allowing it to be set for forward-facing or aft-facing seating as well.

With twin 300 horsepower outboards, Premier’s 310 Boundary Waters is a lot of fun underway, while its water slide ensures plenty of smiles once stopped.

The Premier 310 Boundary Waters isn’t exactly cheap, with a six-digit MSRP and an option list that can easily bump the final price well north of $200,000. But for those who want the ultimate pontoon boat, this one is pretty hard to beat.
