The Starcraft 210 Fishmaster is a big, versatile, comfortable fishing boat with a full load of standard features and an enticing option list.
Designed for big-water anglers who regularly venture far offshore in search of trophy fish, the Starcraft 210 Fishmaster is a versatile and capable fishing machine built without compromise for some of the toughest environments on earth. Whether we’re talking the Great Lakes or big, open northern waters where rough water is the norm, the Fishmaster is uniquely engineered to not only handle the water and deliver a comfortable ride, but do so while maximizing fishing efficiency. That’s quick a trick, so let’s take a closer look at this remarkable boat.
For a 20-foot, 10-inch boat, the aluminum Starcraft 210 Fishmaster certainly feels a lot bigger than it looks, and that’s true both in terms of its width and depth. The 101-inch beam is impressive enough, but Starcraft makes the most of that generous width by constructing the 210 Fishmaster with near vertical side walls that greatly enhance interior space. What’s more, the generous interior depth of 31 inches keeps the water out and the guests in, while providing a real sense of security at all times.
The oversized helm console offers plenty of space for a flush-mounted multi-function display of up to nine-inch screen size, with standard dial gauges to the sides. A double row of illuminated, weatherproof toggle switches to the right of the console handle electrical details, while the large Guzzi sport steering wheel features a tilt function for comfort. Left of the wheel, a standard AM/FM stereo features Bluetooth streaming and an auxiliary port. The console also provides space for a drink holder and the standard stereo. There’s even enough space to mount a second display on a Ram mount or one of the premium Geigertec arms.
The Starcraft 210 Fishmaster comes with a walk-through windshield as one would expect on a boat of this type, and the glass is tall enough to do a superb job of protecting occupants from the slipstream. Say goodbye to lost hats in this boat. The windshield is even tall enough to allow owners to install a Bimini top in the boat and still have enough height to fish comfortably under it, and that’s a terrific feature on those rainy days, especially early and late in the season.
The passenger console features a huge glove box along with a thoughtful grab handle for added security in rough water. A second door opens to reveal a spot for storing a couple of smaller Plano-style tackle trays, for terminal tackle or other items that need to be easily accessed.
Between the consoles, a step leading to the bow casting deck opens to reveal a useful tackle compartment designed to accommodate Plano-style trays. Plastic extrusions under both the passenger and helm console are the ideal place to secure the compact tackle bags used by all anglers for small gear.
The raised front deck looks big in the pictures, and its even more spacious when you’re aboard the boat. Although a lot of the time anglers will use the 210 Fishmaster as a trolling platform, the ability to quickly adapt to casting presentations with a proper raised deck only adds to this boat’s incredible versatility. There’s a massive, 41-gallon live well in the front deck that’s big enough for salmon, plus room to accommodate up to three deep-cycle batteries for the available 72-inch electric trolling motor. A central receptacle in the deck accommodates a swiveling, pedestal-mount fishing seat, or a planer boat mast as desired.
Back in the main cockpit, the wide gunnels provide ideal locations for mounting accessories, from downriggers to track systems. Rod storage in the gunnels is a nice touch. Jump seats in the aft corners are quickly and easily removable for access to downriggers or for netting fish. The cut-out transom provides an ample splash well on the outside for trolling in following seas, along with interior space for the crank battery and a second deep-cycle to power the downriggers.
Between the jump seats, there’s a pair of tackle storage compartments in the transom wall, along with yet another big storage compartment in the floor. The amount of storage in this boat is just remarkable, and reflects well on Starcraft’s experience building boats for serious anglers.
What’s surprising is that the Starcraft 210 Fishmaster comes with a washdown system as standard equipment. You don’t see washdown systems on a lot of freshwater fishing boats to begin with and when you do, they’re normally pricey upgrades. Kudos to Starcraft for providing one as a standard feature. Give the deck a quick shot after landing fish to blast away those scales and fish slime keeps the boat looking clean and makes end-of-day clean-ups far easier.
Built for big water, the 210 Fishmaster features Starcraft’s legendary Torsion Beam construction and PowerTrac hull for exceptional strength and performance in even the heaviest chop. The boat handles outboards of up to 250 horsepower, giving this rig a top speed in the 50 mph range. There’s also plenty of space on the transom for a kicker engine for even greater versatility.
Looking for a big-water fishing rig? Then check out the Starcraft 210 Fishmaster. It’s big, it’s deep, it’s versatile, it’s comfortable, and with a full load of standard features and an enticing option list, it’s about as good as it gets for serious anglers who fish big water.
