So when the company announced plans to launch a brand-new line of luxury day boats, the entire boating world sat up and took notice. That was especially true at this year’s Miami International Boat Show, when the company unveiled its all-new Aviara AV40 – a stunning 40-footer that really does raise the bar on luxury and versatility.

Described as a “fusion of style, modern comfort and quality details,” the Aviara AV40 turns heads with its modern, contemporary styling and innovative interior layout. That includes the inclusion of dual folding deck terraces that extend on both starboard and port sides at the push of a button, stretching the boat’s already generous 12-foot beam to more than 17 feet in all, while adding an incredible 33 square feet of extra cockpit deck space.

The aft cockpit makes the most of all that real estate with gas-actuated bar stools, flip-up lounge seats on the sun pad, and plenty of space to unwind on the swim platform itself. Go for a swim and there’s no need for a boarding ladder, as the Aviara AV40 features a full-width, three-foot wide swim step that drops into the water on hydraulic rams.

Twin refrigerators are an optional upgrade, but one that many families will likely select.

Of course the spacious helm on the Aviara AV40 features a full glass dash, complete with a comfortable triple-wide helm seat with flip-up bolsters for added visibility when navigating in tight areas. The AV40’s focus is on entertaining and enjoying the good life, making twin grills an enticing option many buyers will want.

More than a day boat, the Aviara AV40 is also ideal for weekend getaways with the kids. Taking full advantage of the boat’s 40-foot length and generous 12-foot beam, the spacious cabin sleeps four people with a convertible V-berth up front that sleeps two. There’s space for a couple more people, another TV and a full queen-size memory foam mattress in the air conditioned mid-cabin.

Standard SeaDek flooring feels terrific on bare feel while providing amazing non-slip qualities.

The below decks galley features a refrigerator and optional microwave, a 43-inch TV with soundbar, a skylight, a separate wet head and standard air conditioning to guarantee enjoyable nights away.

Aviara really hits it out of the park with its magnificent AV40, proving that good things sometimes come in big packages too.
