Out of an abundance of caution and to protect the safety of its exhibitors, partners and attendees, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) has postponed the Progressive Insurance Tampa Boat Show as Category 5 Hurricane Irma threatens the south Florida region.

The show, originally scheduled to be held at the Tampa Convention Center from September 8 to 10, will now be held from October 13 to 15 inclusive.

“While we are disappointed to postpone the event, our main concern is for the safety of the boaters, manufacturers and dealers that attend our show,” said Kevin Murphy, show manager. “This decision was made to ensure attendees and exhibitors have time to adequately prepare for Hurricane Irma.”
