Iconic Marine Group (IMG), formerly Custom Marine Group, has announced plans to restructure several prestigious performance boat brands including Baja Marine, Donzi, Donzi Classic, Fountain Powerboats and Pro-Line.
Joe Curran, 30-year industry veteran, has been named COO for the Washington, North Carolina-based IMG group. Curran will work side by side with IMG president Carol Price. “I’m excited to join the team at IMG,” said Curran. “The brands are, without a doubt, among the most recognized in the industry and we plan to put a solid foundation under each one and build them into successful businesses once again.”
The company is said to be investing heavily in new product development across all brands and preparing “to launch network development strategies designed to attract the right dealer for the right brand,” according to a company press release.
Bank of the West has been secured as the company’s wholesale financial partner.
“Our short-term priorities are to build our sales and marketing teams and secure the right selling tools for our dealers,” said Curran. “These action plans are paramount in attracting new dealers as well as generating excitement with consumers.”
The company is planning a new product launch for its Fountain Powerboats brand at the 2016 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, with additional new product launches to follow before the January show period.
