New graphics, new branding and a range of new features made the newly expanded Smoker Craft Pro Mag series a major highlight as marine dealers from around the world got their first look at the company’s 2017 model lineup last week.
Dealers from across the US, Canada, Russia, Portugal, the Netherlands, Sweden and Australia gathered at the company’s New Paris, Indiana manufacturing plant to see more than 150 boats on display, including 25 new models for 2017. Perhaps the most welcome additions were all-new 161, 162, 171 and 172 Pro Mag models, which join Smoker Craft’s existing 182 Pro Mag in the company’s high-end fishing product line.
Striking new graphics and a new emblem treatment give the Pro Mag line a distinctive look, which will migrate through the rest of the Smoker Craft aluminum fishing boat lineup. The new models debut innovative features such as the all-new Yarblow system, which ventilates rod lockers and storage compartments with compressed air to protect expensive tackle against rust and mildew when put away wet. The new boats also feature an all-new gunnel design with an integrated track system, to more easily allow the installation of rod holders, downriggers and other accessories wherever they’re needed.
“We have solicited input from our dealer partners through dealer focus groups over the past few years, and their constructive contributions are very much in evidence in our 2017 product line,” said Smoker Craft Inc.’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate development, Peter Barrett. “We have added some exciting and unique new features to our product that sets these boats apart from anything else on the market.”
The new Pro Mag models will begin appearing in dealerships this fall.
