Boston Whaler’s new 230 Outrage is an easily towable offshore center console that’s loaded with family-friendly features.

Edgewater, Florida-based Boston Whaler has launched a newer, smaller member of its popular Outrage family of center console offshore fishing boats.

The all-new 230 Outrage extends the existing 330, 280 and 250 Outrage lineup with a smaller, easily towable model that’s still capable of handling the open ocean. A number of new refinements allow the boat to feel larger than its 23-foot length would suggest. By pushing the combing around the bow further outboard, Boston Whaler’s engineers were able to maximize floor space, legroom and seating width throughout. This design also contributes to the sense of stability and security for passengers in the bow.

“The customer’s experience was a primary concern in designing the new 230 Outrage,” said Jeff Vaughn, Boston Whaler vice president of sales, marketing and customer service. “We listened closely to our boaters’ feedback on how, where and why they use their boats. These insights helped to shape the next generation of Outrage. They also fuel our commitment to providing Core Confidence, through boats that are purposeful, intuitive, and perform seamlessly.”

The 230 Outrage is designed primarily as a fishing platform, yet boasts a versatile design for family boating as well, including amenities like a standard head in the console, wraparound bow seating, and a two-person forward-facing seat directly in front of the console that lifts to reveal a large storage compartment. An optional bow table lends itself beautifully to social gatherings, and stores neatly in the console when not in use.
