Evinrude says the popularity of its new G2 outboards allowed the company to sign 72 new dealers and 16 new OEM customers in the past year.
Outboard engine manufacturer Evinrude announced it signed a total of 72 new dealers in the previous 12 months.
With the addition of 20 new dealers in the final quarter of its 2016 fiscal year, parent company BRP met an objective of growing its North American dealer network.
Evinrude also grew its portfolio of boat builder partners, becoming an original equipment supplier to 16 new boat brands including Fairline Florida, Everglades, Cobalt, and Sea Pro Boats.
“With an increasing number of marine partners embracing our award-winning Evinrude engines, we’re excited to see more people being exposed to the unmatched benefits our product has to offer,” said Krista Sparkes, vice-president of sales for parent company BRP’s Marine Propulsion Systems, North America division. “Between the rich heritage of the Evinrude brand and the newly re-designed Evinrude E-TEC G2 outboard, more and more boat builders and dealers agree that the E-TEC engine is exactly what customers want, and they are choosing to partner with us to deliver a world-class experience. We are thrilled to continue to welcome new faces to the BRP family.”
