Looking for a bigger boat? Then take a look at Triple Deuce, a new superyacht with seven decks, two swimming pools, multiple hot tubs, a spa and a 2,960 square foot master suite. When launched in 2018, Triple Deuce will become the largest and most expensive private yacht in existence.
Stretching an incredible 728 feet in length, Triple Deuce is the size of a cruise ship, and will easily surpass Azzam, the 590-footer owned by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as the largest private yacht on the planet. Its price tag? A cool $1.2 billion US dollars. Annual operating costs and upkeep are expected to be in the range of $30 million.
The anonymous buyer is described only as “a visionary, ultra high-net worth individual.”
For all its size, Triple Deuce is designed to accommodate just 36 guests, along with between 50 to 60 crew including a full-time masseuse and a hairdresser. Along with the luxurious master suite, Triple Deuce will feature four VIP suites of about 1,000 square feet each, plus a dozen guest cabins of about 650 square feet.
The two-deck owner’s suite will include a private gym, office and dining room, two staterooms, an exclusive elevator, a drive-in dock and private access to a helipad. Powered by triple gas turbine engines capable of generating more than 100,000 horsepower, Triple Deuce should be able to sustain a top speed of over 30 knots, or about 35 mph. That’s twice as fast as a typical cruise ship, and in line with most modern naval vessels worldwide. The ship will be constructed with a close eye on its beam to ensure it will fit within the locks of the Panama Canal.
