Whitefish, Ontario-based Legend Boats plans to open its third corporate retail location in Quebec next month.
Canadian boat producer Legend Boats has purchased a new retail facility near Montreal, Quebec which will become the company’s third corporate retail store.
The Quebec location, Ste. Marthe Sur Le Lac, just west of Montreal, was formerly operated by one of Legend’s dealers. It offers more than 20,000 square feet of retail space and a large service area. The location is expected
to open in May in time for the 2016 boating season. Legend is currently recruiting staff for the new Quebec location to fill a full roster of management, sales and service positions.
The company currently owns and operates two corporate retail dealerships in its home province of Ontario.
“Managing dealerships ourselves allows us to gain first-hand feedback and input on what our customers really like about our boats,” says co-CEO Marc Duhamel. “It offers us a testing-ground to execute our systems and share our proven processes and successes with our dealer network across Canada.”
“Legend Boats’ mission is to create memories, and we feel this new facility will help us make many new and exciting memories for our customers in Montreal over the coming years,” said co-CEO Jamie Dewar. “We have a huge opportunity to further build our brand in the Quebec marketplace, and are very excited about our new Legend facility.”
The Whitefish, Ontario-based company designs and builds a wide range of aluminum fishing, fish-n-ski and pontoon models that are distributed across Canada through a network of more than 50 independent dealers in addition to its corporate locations.
