In one of its largest new product announcements yet, Yamaha has introduced a number of new sport boats for the 2016 season.
New models include three all-new 24-foot E-Series flagships – the 242 Limited E-Series, 242 Limited S E-Series, and the 242X E-Series, each featuring premium appointments and technology, along with advanced wake sports capabilities.
The 242 Limited S and 242 Limited E-Series boats include drive-by-wire technology, supported by the next generation of Yamaha’s Connext helm control system. Both feature push-button start, upgraded trim and a premium tower with built-in solar panels and extra-large Bimini top that covers two-thirds of the boat.
The 242X E-Series boat is Yamaha’s first foray into the high-performance wake sports segment. It offers a triple ballast system producing up to 1,400 pounds of weight for controlling the size and shape of the boat’s wake, as well as a premium 1,000-watt sound system with two amps, subwoofer, two can speakers, and a 10-speaker sound bar.
Also new for 2016 is an all-new 190 FSH Series of center console family fishing boats. Available in two variations – the 190 FSH Deluxe and the flagship 190 FSH Sport which adds a custom T-top – both get their get-up-and-go from Yamaha’s high-performance 1.8L High Output marine engine.
